The folks over at Netflix have been rolling out teaser trailers for the individual episodes of Charlie Brooker‘s upcoming Black Mirror season, with the first look covering director Jodie Foster‘s “Arkangel.”
It’s a nice treat to get a glimpse at what’s to come, but the big question has been: WHEN will we be seeing the episodes in their entirety? The production team is really embracing the word “teaser” and, finally, in yet another trailer, the date has been announced, which is — drum roll please — December 29.
Yes, this month! It was first predicted that the six-part series would launch in early 2018, but apparently the date has been moved up to land in 2017.
And, in addition to the individual episode previews, there’s now an official trailer giving us the bigger picture:
In season four you can look for familiar faces like Rosemarie DeWitt (La La Land) and Andrew Gower (Outlander). Each episode has its own director, with the roster made up of the aforementioned Foster, John Hillcoat, Colm McCarthy, Timothy Van Patten, David Slade, and Toby Haynes.
The episodes’ themes include keeping children safe while in public, living life when there’s a known end date and witnessing a crime, but having no memory of what exactly happened… so, basically, tales of survival, which is pretty standard fare for Brooker.
Which episode do you think will resonate with you most?
