Police across the nation are tired of attending the funerals of their fallen colleagues because of Black Lives Matter, and they are using the courts to stop this group.
A federal lawsuit has been filed in Louisiana, which blames Black Lives Matter, and several leaders, of inciting racial violence, especially against cops. This suit specifically refers to a deadly incident last summer that resulted in the death of Baton Rouge law enforcement officers, and the shooter.
DeRay Mckesson and four other Black Lives Matter leaders are now going to get their day in court to face the accusations that their hate filled calls for action led to the death of officers by black military veteran, Gavin Long.
After that heinous attack on multiple Louisiana police, state police Col. Mike Edmonson noted that the shooters intent was clearly to kill cops.
“His movements, his direction, his attention was on police officers.” He also added that this was an “ambush” and the killer “certainly was seeking out police officers.”
This most recent lawsuit against the group follows a similar lawsuit filed in Dallas over a year ago.
In that Texas lawsuit, 17-year Dallas police veteran, Sgt. Demetrick Pennie, filed a lawsuit against Black Lives Matter and supporters, on the basis that the groups rhetoric is inciting a race war. In the complaint, it states Sgt. Pennie is seeking between $ 500 million and $ 1.5 billion from the activist group.
The class-action suit also names very well known figures former President Obama; former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton; Rev. Al Sharpton; Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and billionaire activist George Soros.
In the suit against the defendants they claim these figures “incite people to violence and cause violence by telling those people that they are under attack. Defendants are encouraging disaffected blacks, Black Muslims, Muslims and others allied with them including certain whites to ignore, disrespect, and assault law enforcement officials, and commit violence and lethal force.”
The suit continues with more claims that these particular defendants “have repeatedly incited their supporters and others to engage in threats of and attacks to cause serious bodily injury or death upon police officers and other law enforcement persons of all races and ethnicities.”
A quick internet search will produce many examples to back up the claims in these lawsuits against the very radical, aggressive group.
Keep in mind, the following are all different Black Lives Matter events.
At another event, a self-proclaimed preschool teacher grabbed a megaphone and began a profanity laced rant of hate against all whites and the current President, Donald Trump. We can only hope that she is not working with anyone’s toddler.
Reports are this lady told a crowd that “we need to start killing people” and “we need to start killing the White House.”
“F*** white supremacy, f*** the U.S. empire, f*** your imperialist a** lives. That s**t gotta go,” the worked up teacher spewed. Clearly having much more to say, she continued by saying white people needed to give reparations to “black and indigenous people right now.”
At no point did anyone seem interested in stopping this, so she went on by saying“White people, give your f***ing money, your f***ing house, your f***ing property, we need it f***ing all!”. It continued with more profanity and demands, ranting “Pay the f*** up. Pay the f*** up. It ain’t just your f***ing time, it’s your f***ing money, and now your f***ing life is devoted to social change.”
“And we need to start killing people,” she concluded.
None of this seemed to phase the crowd. This vile speech did not get booed, rejected or the megaphone taken away? No, the angry, irrational, hate filled, racist call for violence against three quarters of the US population and the president of the USA was met with cheers. One protester even added, “Burn it!”
This went on for minutes, and it goes on at many, if not all, Black Lives Matter rallies. These are not rallies, but violent meet-ups for radicals, anarchists, liberal racists and those looking to start trouble.
One infamous Black Lives Matter event took over a Minnesota city with the crowd chanting pigs in a blanket, fry ‘em like bacon.
At another very publicized rally, this time in New York city, the animated crowd began chanting for more death of cops.
“What do we want?!” the chant started, to which the reply was a very clear “Dead cops!” This was then followed by “When do we want them?” and an emphatic reply of “NOW!”
These are the facts and the videos not only jarring, but leaving very little room for misunderstanding. The message is clear to anyone watching, and abundantly clear to the followers: kill cops.
The groups radical speech has not only appalled non-members, but even fellow Black Lives Matter members. One member, white, believes that some leaders should be removed because they should be, ”held accountable for constantly inserting hate speech into the ether,” of activism.
In response to this latest lawsuit, the attorney for DeRay Mckesson, Billy Gibbens, says they cannot be sued because Black Lives Matter is a movement, and not an organization. It will be interesting to see how that line of defense is received by the courts considering on Black Lives Matter’s own site they have a section to help interested people find a local chapter. The group is even active in with Canadian chapters.
For being just a movement, they are definitely very organized and Black Lives Matter promotes that it even has membership policies.
“Please be aware that Black Lives Matter Chapters have varying membership policies, and may or may not be accepting new members at this time. Also note that membership requirements vary by chapter.”
Mr. McKesson, and his fellow activists will have their day in court, and it will be interesting to see how far the courts will allow free speech to go. When it’s speech that encourages the taking of life, that speech is no longer free, well, not free of consequences.
