Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life Of Is Here And There May Be Some Tears

It’s been nine years since we had our last dose of the Gilmore Girls, Lorelai and Rory, and to be totally honest that is far too long.

Thankfully, to tie us over for the next month we finally have the full-length trailer of Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life Off, but trust us when we say it will probably reduce you to tears.

It’s just one month until the highly-anticipated series is released on Netflix, which follows the mother-daughter pairing through the four seasons of the year – and we’re expecting winter to be the best as we all know how much Lorelai loves the snow.

With every new clip and still that has been released from the series, we have got more and more excited, so much so that we’ve barely been able to contain it, but finally we have the full-length trailer to get excited about.

With Lorelai and Rory doing what they do best – ordering tons of takeout food – and with Luke still in the picture and lecturing the girls on their bad eating habits – we’re glad some things haven’t changed.

Friday night dinners are still a thing, despite the fact that Rory appears to be travelling from New York to London and back to Stars Hollow. Sookie is still the chef at The Dragonfly Inn and we even get a glimpse of Jess sharing a drink with Rory, suggesting they could be an item again. But with Logan also showing up for a brief moment in the trailer, no one quite knows what’s going on in Rory’s love life.

Surprisingly enough, among all the Stars Hollow festivities and coffee drinking, there is a lot of focus on Emily. After losing her husband Richard, she is seen memorialising him with a giant portrait and ultimately reevaluating her whole life. The funeral scene is set to tug at viewer’s heartstrings and we will be surprised by anyone who doesn’t shed a few tears.

With Kirk, Lane, Babette, Gypsy and Taylor, all the Stars Hollow regulars are back for the series and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life will premiere on Netflix on November 25.

Time To Break.
