Why Many College Students Will Never Understand Men Like John Glenn

How far we’ve fallen.

Flashback from Robert Gehl: this is how liberals will eventually silence dissent: Proclaim it all racist, homophobic hate speech. And this is how it starts:

Donald Trump’s innocuous slogan “Make America Great Again” is increasingly being attacked by leftists as a form of hate speech.

It seems to have begun back in May when the delusional Joy-Ann Reid first said the slogan was racist.

Bill Clinton said it’s a racist term even though he’s been saying it for years.

So now this idiocy has spread to college campuses.

donald-trump-hat-calgaryWhen Mount Royal University student Matt Linder wore his red cap emblazoned with the ubiquitous motto, he was attacked by a deranged social justice warrior who told him his hate was offensive, racist and “hate speech.” Interestingly, Mount Royal University is in Calgary, Canada – not even the U.S. HeatStreet reports:

The incident, captured on video, occurred at Mount Royal University in Calgary. Student Matt Linder came to school wearing the cap. Fellow student Zoe Slusar accosted Linder and told him to remove it.

“You’re not allowed to share hate language at a University,” Slusar shouted at Linder. “Make America Great Again means Make America all for white people, no immigrants, no people of different sexual orientations.

“You’ve got to take the hat off or I am going to write the president of the University,” she continues. “It’s not allowed. It’s hate language on campus.”

Later, Slusar posted a long Facebook comment defending her actions (she’s since deleted it, but here’s a link to the archived post). Here’s some of her ramblings:

“Today (Wednesday) I got into an altercation with a guy wearing a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat. I went up and asked him if he would take the hat off, explaining a university should be a safe space,” she said.

“It was impossible to communicate to him why wearing a hat in support of a movement grown on the seeds of racism, bigotry and exclusion of diversity (sexual and cultural) could make some people afraid,” she added.

In the video, Slusar says she’s going to report the hat to administration and she “can’t wait” until he’s ordered to remove it.

That didn’t happen.

The school is standing behind Matt Linder, saying that: “Mount Royal University respects individuals who exercise their constitutionally-protected right to freedom of expression, as long as it is peaceful and respectful.”
